“We play in the nature because we are nature…”
This is WE ARE NATURE, Motoreta’s new Autumn Winter 17|18 collection. Shot in the Rio Tinto mines, an almost surreal and lunar landscape located in Huelva, at the East-south of Andalusia, ¨We are Nature¨ is inspired by the connection between nature, fashion, architecture and land art.
We want to pay tribute to the land art movement artists Nancy Holt, Walter de Maria or Andy Goldsworthy which work is based in the relation between nature and art. The result is a collection of strong prints inspired by the lines of landscapes, abstract graphics and colors extracted directly from nature that tell us about our relation with earth .
The key pieces of the collection are the dresses, with clean patterns detailed with frills, big pockets, and sophisticated collars; but also the overalls and knittted garments. Our pallet: shades of green, sandstone, blue, black, burgundy, white and grey, stripes, dots, geometries and cavernous forms.
